Craigie on Main is proud to be one of Boston's most creative and respected kitchens. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, make everything from scratch, never take shortcuts, and take pride in our work. We have been awarded many times over locally and nationally, but we would rather talk to you about food and cooking.
This job is for someone who is ok with working long hours, carrying heavy things, farmers market trips, etc.
Are more concerned about how your food tastes than how it looks on Instagram
Like to get shit done
Like using lists (to get shit done)
Have experience managing food cogs and labor
Have experience with menu development
Can read a P&L
Understand what being a leader and teacher actually means (let’s start with accountability, dependability and trustworthy)
Be passionate about sourcing sustainable and local ingredients
Have a natural sense of urgency
Have a positive attitude, even on tough days
Have an active sense of humor
Love making others happy
Respect the craft of cooking
Have a near-fanatical devotion to knife-sharpening

No job is too big or too small. We all sweep, clean, prepare staff meal, make mistakes, learn from them and continue to grow as cooks.
